LED lighting is behind the valence on the wall. Now strips of surface mount LEDs have silicon cover and can come in "warm white" 3500K color temperature. The valences are on all outside walls held by bolts we placed before the concrete was poured in the walls. The wood is from nearby trees that we milled in 2008. The LED strip in the photo consumes less than 4 Watts, amazing!
