Kitchen cabinets are built in place and drawers are built in place too. The counter top is basswood block from Ikea with a food grade finish. When the drains are hooked up and the disposer installed, I will build a slide type drawer under the farmhouse sink.

In the kitchen there are several "roofs" and "chimneys" . The center island is covered the prep area is covered and we have a beverage room we call the "stube". You can buy anything on Ebay including antique German roof tiles. I pressure wash and drill a hole for a safety screw before installing them on stringer boards.
