Gary Rettler and his son-in-law helped deck the roof. Inside we have select decking as it will be seen and outside we have cement board attached to plywood decking as we will cover the under surface with stucco for fire safety. The rafter tails will get a coating of zinc bromide to squelch fire before getting a UV coating.
Know what this is? Under it is a 1750 gallon cistern. The large green pipe with lid is the man hole, the black pipe shelters the pipe for the submersible pump and the white pipe comes from the rain gutters. The water catchment will be used for flushing and watering the roof. We will plant the green roof come spring, more on that come spring.
